Next stop...secret dining :)

I found an amazing hole in the wall dining place only for reservations. An amazing date place but I won't reveal it just yet.

Not a very common place for such a unique restaurant :)

Will post pics soon :)

The Stock Market

My brother's birthday celebration lunch :)

I didn't find the food really appealing nor appetizing. The French Onion soup was a disappointment. :(

My food was as tiny as a mouse. Expensive too.

OPA!!!

OPA! is a word used to express happiness, joy and celebration.
http://www.cymarestaurants.com/about.htm

I often find myself coming back for more Greek-Cyma goodness whenever I can. Had another chance to eat in CYMA for my mother's birthday. Since I was not paying, we ordered a lot of food! We had Hummous, Spinach and Artichoke Fondue, Roka Salata, Eggplant Moussaka and 5 other 6 other dishes since we were a party of 6. Overflowing food I tell you. They also have the best staff!! Really patient and will definitely go out of their way to make your dining experience worthwhile. I keep coming back for their food most especially since the quality of their dishes are consistent. Which is good for a place who has a couple of branches in the metro. Their prices are a bit steep but it's sooo worth it! :) I got a chance to dine in their GB2 and Shangri-la branches (most of the time, I eat in their Shangri-la branch) and both do serve their dishes on time (if they tell you its in 15mins, dadating talaga ng 15mins) which is good.

Sandy's Pizza

Sandy's Pizza
St. Ignatius Village, Katipunan Ext
Quezon City

A small pizza place tucked along Katipunan Ext. :) You can actually miss this place if you're just passing by from White Plains going some place else. The place is really small! Only 3 tables with 4 chairs each. Ideal for quick take out meals or a pizza fix. :)

We had the pizza sampler which consists of 4 pizza variations -- Spicy Tuyo, Garlic Choriza, All meat flavor and the Chicken Curry version. I tried almost all flavors except for the Chicken Curry (not a fan) The chicken wings though was not really special. My brother can make a better version of the buffalo wings at home :) The wings were tiny too. Wing-lets :) heheh

The Pizza Sampler 18' is for php545 while the 14' is for php500. Get the 18' version for an additional Php45! :) The buffalo wings were at php220 with blue cheese sauce. (don't order this)

Had Green Mango over at Katipunan also. Cheaper version of Red Mango in Eastwood Mall with the same yogurt-y taste :) Heheh

Overall, the whole pizza experience was a treat. Cheap thrills for a rainy day :)

Ciao! :)

Yaki Mix Sushi & Smokeless Grill

YakiMix
BC25, Hobbies of Asia, Diosdado Macapagal Blvd.
Pasay City, MM

Stations and stations of non stop grilling goodness! Taken from the well known shabu-shabu concept of Tong Yang (megamall) among others, this is a some what new concept in the Macapagal area where Dampa stalls abound. Be very mindful also that this is ALWAYS packed with eager beavers especially during weekends (lunchtime and dinner). People who go here without prior reservation should expect to wait about an hour to an hour and a half to be seated. At php500++ per head, this is a SULIT place to dine! :) Goooo! :)

Apartment 1B

Tucked away in one of Makati's side streets is a place called Apartment 1B. Been wanting to dine here for the longest time and only had the chance to have lunch here 3 months ago. It was a rainy day so we had to have reservations because this places gets easily packed especially during lunch hour. The place itself is really homey. With simple dining tables and chairs for eager beavers like us. It has a second floor btw, so if in case you get disheartened to see if the first floor is already full (even though you got there really early and thinking you had a reservation) because there is a staircase leading you to another floor which feels more hom-ier (if there is such a word).

For starters we had the following:
French Onion Soup - by far the best best best piping hot French onion soup I've had. The onions were not all crushed and the cheese....!!!
Baked Samosas - the filo pastry that enveloped the mushrooms, spinach and cheese tasted like your normal fluffy croissant. So-so for a 4 piece appetizer.

** I wanted to try the Crabcakes but I knooow it's fattening so I opted to skip that **

Main Course:
I had the Club Sandwich. I knoooow....I went there to have a sandwich?!?! But if you have tried it, you would think otherwise! It's the best and most filling and tastiest club sandwich! I looooove it! :)
My boyfriend had the salpicao (I am not sure what they call it) but rice and veggies. Filling and really tender :)

This place is really worth visiting! I will definitely visit again and again and if I get rich-er (take note of the -er since I haven't gotten to the rich part just yet), I will bring my parents here and treat them to an amazing dinner.

Malate Finds Italy

Cosa Nostra. One of the few hidden food finds in the Malate area. I've been where when i was still in college and had the chance to live in a condo so I normally go out at night with my bestfriend and look for amazing places to eat dinner. She suggested this timeless place since her mom (who also studied in Manila college years) loved this place. Difficult to find and really small. With only a few tables (5-6 I think) and a few chairs each, its really a pleasant place to dine and have that really romantic dinner. The food is amazing, piping hot pasta dishes upon ordering and waaah generous servings too. :) Last time I checked, the prices are reasonable. :)
